"Exodus"
 
"Exodus" is a miniature sculpture depicting the resilience and determination of an old Ukrainian lady fleeing the war, with her cat hiding in her coat.
 
For every copy of 'Exodus' sold now and in the future, 20% of the value (6£) will be donated to the UN Refugees Agency (UNHCR), providing vital support and assistance to refugees and displaced persons in need. When I first saw photos of people fleeing Ukraine in 2022, carrying nothing but their suitcases and their pets, I felt deeply moved.
As an artist, I felt compelled to capture this moment in time through my sculpture.
I wanted to convey the strength and determination of the elderly Ukrainian woman, who refused to let the desolation and uncertainty around her defeat her.
I aimed to create a piece that would serve as a reminder of the incredible resilience of the human spirit, even in the face of great adversity.
 
Through "Exodus," I also hope to highlight the unbreakable bond between humans and their pets, and how this bond can provide a source of comfort and strength even in the darkest times. This miniature sculpture is a powerful reminder of the strength and determination of those who must leave everything behind in search of safety and security.
 
Each miniature comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
